Paramount Pictures Corporation is an American film studio, television production company and motion picture distributor, consistently ranked as one of the "Big Six" film studios of Hollywood. Firstly, Paramount's Distribution starts with shooting stars coming towards the screen. Shooting stars are widely presented as a symbol of luck, fortune and making a wish to grab these potential fortunes. This implies the idea that you will only benefit when watching a movie which has been distributed by Paramount and that the only way is up, towards the sky; which of course is where you find shooting stars. The use of the mountain also suggests that idea of height, authority and rarity. The idea that no one is as high in class as paramount and that they are the best. As well as the mountain and the stars make it memorable and widely recognisable.

Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. is a Canadian–American entertainment company. The company was formed on July 3, 1997, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Their distribution logo is very unique. This is because of their colour scheme and opening style. The colour scheme appears to be very dark, which is perfect when distributing a horror film as it sets the mood for the viewers. The idea of it going from dark to light gives a clear representation of the theme of the logo. The logo is a locking mechanism and this is clear when the lock is the whole screen. It then opens and 'Lionsgate' appears. This gives the impression that, via Lionsgate you can open doors to anything you can think of. Which is why the background of the skies is a great fit and makes the entire logo effective.
